Traveller's Club

One key feature of my work is travel. Mobility is the name of the game. Armed with a fleet card, I do my land roving (nope, not in one though; I wish it were so) on one of these (actually, ito na yun; not even 4x2, but anything sturdy does the trick, eh?):

She's called Olga. Please don't ask?

And she is tough. City driving is a cinch, though I still grit my teeth whenever I need to make outbase engagements, one of which is Boracay. Provincial highways (aka National roads) off city limits are highly bumpy and way-too-old affairs. With pathways like this, you find yourself asking an ironic question:"Where is government meddling when you need it?"

I'll tell you where. It's in Manila. Ho-hum.
